Position: Geologist
2 – Land Quality Bureau
The
Department of Natural Resources has one (1) opening for a Geologist 2 position
within the Geographical Information Systems Section in the Land
Quality Bureau, located in Des Moines, IA. The purpose of this position is
to conduct spatial analysis including things as spatial modeling to simulate
processes such as erosion, nutrient transport, and runoff, siting analysis and
density analysis. This position will also provide data development support for
the DNR program staff under the guidance of senior GIS staff, which may include
digitizing, scanning, importing, custom tool development, or
training/overseeing non-GIS staff in the development of program datasets.
